Just in time for Halloween!

Check out this spooktacular tutorial

Our Fabulously talented Guest designer!

We are so happy to have such a fabulously talented guest designer this month...

please welcome

Andrea Ewen

Here is what Andrea has to say

My name is Andrea Ewen and I’ve been married to my high school sweet heart for 18 years (together for 27!). We have two children together, a 15 year old son and a 13 year old daughter. I live in New Jersey near the beautiful shore and work full time in a small pharmacy that is 2 blocks from the ocean. Crafting has always been a passion of mine…in high school I funded my extra curricular activities by sewing hair ‘scrunchies’ (remember those?) and making Christmas wreaths out of pinecones. One fateful day in 2002 I went to a Stampin’ Up! party and about blew my life savings on paper crafting supplies. I was so hooked! I have to say though, card making initially looked a lot easier than it was…for me. I made many ‘interesting’ cards in the following years but seemed to have found my stride 8 years later when I started my blog, EwenStyle. Maybe starting my blog gave me more confidence, or maybe more accountability, not sure…but either way I have learned immense lessons from this experience. For example, I’ve learned that there are blue-ish browns and red-ish browns. I’ve learned that more is not always better. I’ve learned that I REALLY love flowers and anything girly. And most importantly, I’ve learned that I still really have a lot to learn! I try to concentrate on absorbing as much as I can and experimenting as much as possible. I adore “paper manipulating” whether it be in the form of die cuts, border punches or flower making. I love to use lots of vintage and feminine items like ribbons, lace, pearls and flowers. My style has been evolving over the years, but I’ve seemed to have settled into the comfy chair of Vintage/Shabby Chic/Antique designs. I currently design for Verve Stamps, Zva Creative, Maja Design Vintage Papers and 2 challenge blogs…CASE Study and Vintage Card Cafe challenge.

Check back later to see her gorgeous work with our November kit!

Lisa's beautiful creations!

Today I wanted to show 2 of Lisa's gorgeous layouts!

the first one is just stunning!

The Prima Roses from the add on flowers are white, so she sprayed them with Color Shine from the add on color kit. She used a die cut the photo mat from a Spellbinders die using card stock from the add on card stock kit and colored it with my Lindy's Stamp Gang new Industrial Chic sprays designed by Limor Weber!

Look at all these wonderful details...

Her second project is just as gorgeous!

Again she colored the flowers beautifully with the mists!

she die cut the leaves then sprayed with the industrial chic sprays

Our October Guest Design Team Member!

We are so excited to have

Julianne McKenna-De Lumen

guesting for us this month!

Lets get to know a little more about Julianne!

To my friends, I am known as Jules The Bling Princess because of my love (and stash) of bling. I have been scrapping for a little over 7 years, and like many others before me, I was addicted from my very first lesson, and I jumped into it, heart and soul. In addition to layouts (my one true love), I create cards, tags, off-the-page items, mini-albums, and mixed media canvases (and layouts). Currently I design for Imaginarium Designs, Kaisercraft, PaperHaus, Making Memories Colorbok, and Purple Pumpkin. I am also a sketch designer for  Sketches Around The World.

My style involves colour - and a lot of it. I love colour, and I am not scared of using it on my layouts. With 2 daughters, I love bright, pretty, eye-catching colours (with lots of bling thrown in too). My layouts are always feminine and pretty, and all about the details. I would say my style is a modern Shabby Chic, mixed with a splash of "white space". However, I am just as happy scrapping in other styles. My favourite embellishments and products would be flowers, stencils and masks, chipboard, and transparencies. Oh, and washi tape. You will nearly always find one, or more, of these items on my layouts. But if I had to choose just one favourite crafting supply - I would have to say the paper itself. As long as I have paper, I can create anything I want. Love, love, love my paper! It is the backbone of my work.
I currently reside in Mount Barker, South Australia with my husband, 2 daughters, 9 cats, and 2 rabbits. Apart from being a scrapbook addict, I will also admit to be a Pinterest addict, Twilight fanatic, organising Diva, Mamarazzi photographer, and insatiable book-worm.

Reane's beautiful "Rue De Rosiers" creations!

Its REVEAL DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today  I thought I would showcase Renea's stunning creations!
Check out this first one!

This is a beautiful tribute layout to her granny, who in the photo is with three of her boys. she was blessed with a large family of  7 children, 15 Grandchildren, and 33 Great Grandchildren before she passed away. Renea's grandmother was a strong influence in her life and I believe this layout shows the love she had for her. The title of this layout is "She Was Love", because for everyone who knew her, that's exactly what she was.  Renea also wrote a beautiful poem (that you can see on her blog) that was read at her grandmothers funeral.

now for the brilliant details!

I love all the techniques she used!
Fussy Cutting, seed beads, paper rolling, inking,  puff paint, stenciling with texture medium and painting back over the bricks to add color.

The dimension she achieved with the paper rolling.

And all the texture of the texture medium, painting and puff paint.

Check back tomorrow for more beautiful creations!

Keren's Rue de Rosiers layouts!

Good morning everyone!
Today I thought I would showcase Kerens second layout!

Its is so beautiful!
I am normally not a pink person but this layout is pinkalicious!

Keren used the Websters Pages papers from the kit

She used two of the Maggie Holmes frames found on the embellishment add on to highlight the photo

She wanted to soften the background paper so spread some gesso on it. Then sprayed it with Shimmerz: Razzle dazzle berry. Finally she masked the script image from the 6x6 Crafters Workshop stencil using light molding paste.

Keren also created this stunning layout with this months sketch!

I love how she tucked in the doily, added gesso to the flowers and layered all the elements!

Her clustering is gorgeous!
