Two gorgeous layouts from Sandi!

Hello, everyone!
Sandi here with you today sharing another layout created with the February 2017 Scraps of Elegance Kit called "Watercolor Wishes." This time I decided to go a teeny bit more masculine. Emphasis on "teeny" as it turned out!

"Perfect Harmony"

These are my sweet twin grandons, Danny and Bobby. I admit to having a tough time scrapping boys, so I just create like normal but throw in some metal, chipboard and other natural elements.

My base layer is the 49 and Market Heirloom Botanicals Conservatory, side B (the woodgrain) while my long photo layers are the same paper side A and a neutral paper from the KaiserCraft Ooh la la Collection, Je t'aime. To create some masculine vibe, I randomly punched the KaiserCraft paper with a notebook punch from my stash .. then inked and distressed it. The base paper was treated with clear gesso and then splattered with watered down white gesso and misted with more water.

The Blue Fern Studios Butterfly Rings chipboard is from the Elements add-on. It was coated with gesso and then heat embossed with a variety of embossing powders from my stash as well as the Lindy's Stamp Gang Bavarian Blue Magicals from the Color add-on, applied with the other embossing powders were still hot. The florals around through the entire page are the 49 and Market Amber Melange found in the Floral add-on. For me, the floral add-on Kit is always a must!

Here I took the opportunity to use one of the Finnabair vintage clock trinkets found in the Main Kit. They would be so cute around the clock images in the paper collection! I've added some cheesecloth and art stones from my stash to add texture. I love the flowing fern-like leaves found in the 49 and Market Amber Melange pack!

The Elements add-on included these sweet Steampunk clear glass bottles which I've filled here with some random art stones. These bottles are made by Solid Oak Ins. After filing one, I just adhered it to the paper and tucked it in the floral cluster.

My title was created with a word note from the KaiserCraft Ooh la la Tres Chic paper along with a product cut away from one of my 49 and Market Harmony papers.

This is really the same general image but it's a good close-up of several of the products I've just mentioned above.

In the lower right corner I created a cluster with images fussy cut from the Herloom Botanicals Cut Out papers, more florals and the other metal clock from the Finnabair metal trinkets package. It helped balance the page and made the 2 corners more cohesive. Of course, I used more cheesecloth and art stones to get that texture I love.

Another angle of the same corner.

And lastly, a couple more close-up photos to show you the dimension created on the page.

Last one!

So, there you have it … a masculine page using the gorgeous and oh so romantic Watercolor Wishes Scraps of Elegance Kit. Although the Kit is sold out, many of the add-ons are available in the Scraps of Darkness online STORE. Please visit and shop away!

I decided to do my monthly "Lucy" page. Everyone seems to enjoy them, so as long as I can find new photos showing her glamorous side, I guess I'll continue creating them.

"Beautiful"

I started with the 49 and Market Heirloom Botanicals "The Patch" as my base layer and did some mixed media work with super heavy gesso and a stencil (stash) as well as the Lindy's Oom Pah Pah Pink Magicals Shaker from the  Main Kit. I left the Magicals a tad bit powdery instead of completely saturating them with water. I liked the cool and unexpected texture they created.

Then I added photo layers with "Harmony" and "Passage" papers also from the Heirloom Botanicals collection. I filled in with fussy cut images from the 49 and Market Cut Outs sheet. My Blue Fern Studios chipboard title piece "Beautiful" was heat embossed with the Lindy's Bratwurst Brown Embossing Powder from the Color add-on.

Then I added in my florals and stones to enhance my glamorous photo.

Here are some close-ups:

Are those 49 and Market flowers not just the most beautiful things? These are the Shimmer and Shine in lilac. If you love glitter, these will be right up your alley. You can also see the peach doily from the Main Kit and a rhinestone from the Elements Add-on. These are from Prima's Love Clippings collection. Note the awesome heat embossed chipboard from Blue Fern Studios.  Also in the background you can see a strip of BoBunny Felicity from the Co-ordinating Paper Add-on.

Another sweet floral cluster enhanced with more of the Shimmer and Shine flowers, a note from the KaiserCraft Ooh la la collection (Co-ordinating Paper add-on) as well as the sweet bird from Prima's Metal Trinkets found in the Elements Add-on.  The silver hearts are found in the Main Kit! Because we love Lucy, right?

Those vintage suitcases are from the 49 and Market Cut Outs page as are some of the paper florals I have scattered around the page! Get ready to swoon over those wonderful stones included in the Main Kit!

This close-up shows you how grainy I left my Lindy's Magicals from the Main Kit. I can see that these are going to be so versatile!

Just some finishing touches with the cut-outs and rhinestones. (The cheesecloth is from my stash.)

I think that's about it for my first Watercolor Wishes Kit. I'm excited to complete the rest of them!

Thanks for coming by!
