Two stunning layouts from Sandi!

Hello, everyone!

Sandi here with you again today sharing another layout created with the gorgeous February Kit from Scraps of Elegance called Watercolor Wishes. This Kit is filled with so many beautiful elements based around the gorgeous 49 and Market Heirloom Botanicals papers and flowers. Along with lots of extra bits and bobs to make your projects complete!

"Loyal Friends"

For this layout, I've used the 49 and Market Heirloom Botanicals Faded Blooms as my base. Layered across that I've placed a torn piece of the 49 and Market Heirloom Botanicals Serenity papers. I die cut a couple of doilies from the Harmony and Sanctuary scraps from a previous project for this month .. just to create a few more layers. I've also fussy cut a few elements (barrel, butterfly, clocks) from the Heirloom Botancials Cut Outs paper to tuck in under and around my photo. As an extra grounding photo layer, I've used an old ecru crochet doily and a piece of chipboard both from my stash to add a little more texture and dimension. (This sweet photo is my granddaughter MacKayla and her much loved horse.)

I was really blown away at how beautiful the 49 and Market Ecru and Bouquet flowers were and thoroughly loved using them on this project. These are found in the February Flower add-on for the Scraps of Elegance Kit.  I also tucked in a leftover of the 49 and Market Shimmer and Shine Lilac flowers from the Main Kit as well as a few roses from the rose bundles included in the Flower add-on.  You will love using the metal trinket birds from Prima!

The glass gems from the Main Kit brought some shine to the  page. And here is just a close-up of the die cut and fussy cut elements.

I also took the opportunity to use the Kaisercraft Cherry Blossom mini stencil template included in the Main Kit. It would be perfect for cards or canvases as well!

For my title, I've cut another saying from the KaiserCraft Ooh la la Tres Chic paper.  I mounted it on cardboard and tucked it beside my crochet doily.

Here is my next project using the February Scraps of Elegance Kit "Watercolor Wishes."

For this last project I went a bit more simplistic and stayed with lots of layers of papers and embellishments from the Kit. I stayed with the peach, purple and teal color scheme but brought in some brown tones as well to use for this sweet photo of granddaughter MacKenzie.

I prepped my background papers (49 and Market Heirloom Botancials, Harmony and The Patch) with clear gesso and then did some light stenciling with super heavy gesso. I tore away the corner pieces to layer on my base which was so fun! And then added more for my photo layers but also included a KaiserCraft Ooh la la sheet, Je t'aime. I randomly punched the edges of the layers for a more modern, shabby take on paper punching. I also distressed them for some final oomph! Additional layers and the title piece were built from notecards taken from the Kaisercraft Tres Chic paper. I also added in another die cut doily from the Main Kit. And of course, I added flowers!

Lastly, I dabbed everything with white gesso and splattered some gesso droplets across the page.

I used so many flowers this month that I was down to scraps … almost! But they went together beautifully by adding the 49 and Market vine, Dusty Shale Garden Vine, which was snapped into pieces. You can also see some of my stamping, a rhinestone (both from the Elements add on)  and a fussy cut clock from the Cut Out sheet in the Main Kit.

I'm notorious for adding a title and covering it with elements! Which I've done here with some seam binding from my stash. Tucked into it are an art gem (Main Kit) and a flower from the Flower add on.

The Momenta doilies from the Main Kit are so pretty and were perfectly co-ordinated for the rest of the Kit.

You can  just barely see some of my stamping done here using the 49 and Market Haute Couture stamps by Gabrielle Pollacco.  And I finally used the larger butterfly from the Helrloom Cut Out sheet.

Here are a few bonus close-ups for you:
