Shabby chic elegance from Nicole!

Hi Nicole here!  It's time to reveal my another project with the latest kit from Scraps of Elegance!
This kit is called 'Hello Beautiful' and features the lovely and elegant Graphic45 'Portrait of a Lady' collection with loads of classy vintage embellishments and flowers.

Take a look at this fabulous kit and the add-ons that I was provided this month to create with:

Elements Add-On

Floral Add-On

For this layout, I decided to not add a photo of my own, but to create a mosaic style collage of the beautiful Victorian frames found on the Graphic 45 papers, each lady depicting the idea of classic beauty, thus my title.

The 'Hello Beautiful' kit along with its Elements Add-On includes so many pieces: tags and pockets, journaling chipboard, lots of stickers, all from Graphic 45.

I misted one of the roses a deep shade of peachy orange and created a beautiful cascade of flowers with small paper and resin roses and several blooms cut out of the gorgeous Prima knit tulle trim.

Grace, sophistication and elegance... that is what I aimed for with my page, just like this kit!

I hope you have enjoyed this project with the Scraps of Elegance March 'Hello Beautiful' kit.
I am looking forward to sharing with you more of my creations using this gorgeous kit!

Lisa Griffith stunning mixed media art journal page

Hello Scraps of Elegance friends.
I loved the vintage images from the Scrapberry's papers in the March kit paper add on, and they inspired me to make a vintage art journal spread.

'Only You'

I used so much from the kit and the add ons, the papers, the beautiful stamp, the Prima gold trim and vintage glass trinket, and of course the beautiful Petaloo flowers
in green purple and brown.

Creating a spread in an old book like this is really easy. Always make sure that you seal the pages with clear gesso before you begin, the helps your mediums to not seep into the paper. Here I used some Lindy' Stamp Gang sprays in
purple, green and gold, and then used a stencil from one of
our previous kits with white modeling paste
to create some textures.

See you soon,
Lisa xo

Two amazing layout from Annie using the Graphic 45 from our Hello Beautiful kit!

Here is my second layout made with March Scraps of Elegance Hello Beautiful kit !
For the first time in a while, I haven't used any Mediums for this layout !! There are so many beautiful things in the kit that after putting everything in place, all I added were splashes of Gold here and there !

Here is my third layout made with March Hello Beautiful kit !
I have to be honest, Green and Brown are not colors I use very often ! I somehow was able to find the perfect photos !  I used different papers from the kit, mostly the green ones and cut little squares that I  put on both corners of the page. I covered with Gesso and used different tones of Green to add color.  I used the Heidi Swapp flower stamp from the kit to add texture and finished with lots of embellishments and flowers from the Add-On kit.

thank you !

Two beautiful Shabby Chic layouts from Nicole!

Hi Nicole here....I am back today with another layout featuring the Scraps of Elegance March 'Hello Beautiful' kit!

This photo of my niece Daphne went perfectly with these patterned papers and I found the perfect title for my page in my own stash... just plain wonderful!

As far as colour combination, I wanted to focus on purple, green and gold.  So I used the beautiful Petaloo flowers from the Floral Add-On as well as white and purple Prima flowers and some lavender blooms from the main kit.

I sprayed my page with Lindy's Stamp Gang purple mist and added a fair share of beads.

I dare say that this is now a new favorite of mine!

Thank you once again for joining me today
and hopefully you'll be back soon for more Scraps of Elegance inspiration !

Sharing with you one more project
showcasing the March Scraps of Elegance 'Hello Beautiful' kit.

Those who are familiar with my work have noticed that I do a lot of paper ripping
lately on my layouts. I love the look of it and how it allows me
to feature several different patterned papers on my pages.
This time, along with paper from the kit, I also used corrugated cardboard
and white cardstock from my own stash.

This quote shows up many times in the Graphic45 collection
which is included in the SOE kit. It is so beautiful and
I thought that it would be very fitting for a layout about me.

I used the rose stamps in the Heidi Swap set on white cardstock
and fussy cut around the image
to then slip the stamped pieces in and about my flower clusters.

This is me, a couple years back, 'au naturel' as they say,
during a nice stroll in a wooded park of my hometown.

Here is one again the 'Hello Beautiful' kit and the add-ons with which I created this month:

Mixed Media Monday - Kerstin - 24.4.17!

Welcome!
Kerstin here and a new project for our Scraps of Darkness Kit 'Boys will be Boys'.
I was inspired from the wonderful Journaling cards Misc Me and the transparent stickers by Bo Bunny, in the Main Kit
perfectly for a new little friendship gift.
The denim blue star tags and buttons from the Element Add On kit
were also suitable for this mixed media canvas with a lot of favorite quotes.
You are smarter, braver and stronger
than you ....

I used various spray mist's, also golden metallic paint for the background, and made some blue highlights with Tim Holtz Salty Distress ocean crayon
 and a blue glitter paint
because the fact is clearly...too little glitter!
Here are some close ups!

here is my next project  I want to share with you
a sea mixed media canvas
featuring Scraps of Darkness March kit
'Boys will be boys'
I was inspired as I saw the wonderful blue whales and turtles
on  the Journaling cards Misc Me by Bo Bunny.
I love the sea and all the fantastic blue color shades
on the water.
It was a pleasure for me to make this canvas
with some fantasy elements.

two cut out turtles, swimming fin has only been partly glued,
the rest I have bent slightly, an interesting 3d effect !

I painted the piece of the missing tail fin with some acrylic colors.

I use the arrow chipboard from Blue Fern Studios
and divided him into two parts, now looks like two fantasy fishes.

transparent stickers from Bo Bunny are very practical,
because you can always see the paper underneath

In the lower part I used a white texture paste
and this beautiful blue metallic Microbeads
from the Elements On Kit.

Thanks for your visit!
Happy crafting!
Kerstin
